I can't be the first to ask this but I can't find this in the archives. Can K3D export to 3ds file format? I want to use it to create characters for a game I'm writing using the JCPT java game API. But it looks like the only file format JPCT will load is .3ds.
can I export to 3ds format??

Afraid not ... we have a 3DSMeshReader, but not a writer. Contributions are always welcome, of course.
