I'm a newbie at K-3D and I've tried to find the following in the docs and forum. Apologize if it's already covered.
I like the MakeSDS feature, as it creates some beautifully smooth objects. I'd like to 3d print some of these objects using a makerbot plastic printer, but I need the object in STL. I can only get the 'frame' that the smooth object has been made inside. I can't seem to be able to export the smooth shape to STL using the STLMeshWriter. Is it possible? Is there a way of doing this? Exporting the smooth object to some format that can be saved?
I'm using version 0.8.0.1 and reading STL using ReplicatorG (it supports some other formats than STL experimentally).
