As I am new to K-3D I viewed that this is a very advanced program with lots of possibilities, but I wonder if it is possible to import graphic 2D-files like TIFF, JPEG, PNG or SVG or DWG -- these files not being present in the importer-plugin.
I would like to use K-3D to base 3D-models on already made 2D-plans. How to achieve this?

There are a bunch of tables there and i dont have a clue what they mean. Can someone tell me procedure how to insert reference image.
I have already found path /create/Annotation/Referenceimage2D and created Referenceimage2D. Then i chose it in "node list"plane and some properties appeared in "node properties" plane. But none of these properties enable me to choose a bitmap from my disk... how do i continue?

This is alluded to in the step-by-step "Usage" instructions midway down the page. You create an instance of BitmapReader, then use its "File" property to select the image to load.

Hmm i have read, that i create BitmapReader by folowing link /create/bitmap/BitmapReader on main menu, but i dont have this option there.
My version is 0.6.7.0 although i used sudo apt-get install k-3d command in ubuntu terminal. How can i upgrade my version if this didnt work?
Ah, the confusion is that BitmapReader used to be called "BitmapFileIn".
We will be releasing K-3D 0.8 shortly, once that happens you might want to encourage Ubuntu to upgrade their K-3D package to match.
