K-3D just passes the given filepath off to LuxRender, so you can use any file format that LuxRender supports ... see their website for the definitive list. What I've tested personally is JPEG and PNG.

For me, it doesn't work it.
There is writen: There was an error while checking the size of file 'C:ProgrammeK-3D 0.8.0.1Screenshot1.5.2010 10-56-44-125.bmp'
Or: Unable to open image file 'C:ProgrammeK-3D 0.8.0.1Screenshot1.5.2010 10-56-44-125.bmp'
Unable to open image file ''
First material of the mix is incorrect
Cannot open PNG file 'C:DOKUME~1ADMINI~1LOKALE~1Tempk3d-luxrender-preview-1233rameoutput.png' for output
Cannot open PNG file 'C:DOKUME~1ADMINI~1LOKALE~1Tempk3d-luxrender-preview-1233rameoutput.png' for output
What do I wrong?

I notice there aren't any slashes in those paths, perhaps there is some issue with the the way texture paths should be formatted on Windows for LuxRender. You might try hand-editing the materials.lxs file generated by K-3D and testing it with LuxRender, or comparing it to a .lxs file generated in some other way. If you find a change that works, let us know what it is.

Can you accurate explain, what i have to do with the file? :D
(i think my English isn't very well) < : D

When you render to LuxRender from K-3D, K-3D creates a file called "materials.lxs" in a temporary location (I don't know where it is on Windows, so you're better off just searching for it by name). That file tells LuxRender the path to the texture. It's possible that the contents of that file should be different on Windows (which I don't use) than on Linux and OSX. If you can find the file, you can try modifying it until it works with LuxRender. If you can figure out what changes need to be made, you can let us know and we'll alter the code to match.

ohhh! :(
And, how can i modifying the file?
I have Windows.
Hope, that you know it :)Posted 1 year ago # -
Well, you could try changing the direction of the slashes in the path. Maybe LuxRender expects them to point one way or the other ...

Hello? : )

Jake:
I meant to edit the contents of the materials.lxs file generated by K-3D with a text editor, such as notepad.

Your description seems fine, you might post a screencast to be sure.

How can Post a screencast?

You could upload it to a video sharing site such as YouTube, and link to it here. That's how I've been doing video tutorials.
