Blank white viewport on windows 8 64 bit

I've been using k3d for quite some time now on windows 7 but when my old PC finally kicked it and I upgraded to windows 8 the viewport is a completely white screen which effectively lets me do nothing at all. Has anyone else run into this issue? Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

-thanks!

Sorry, at this time I don't

Sorry, at this time I don't have access to a Win 8 machine, so I have no idea why this happens.
Edit: You might try looking at the log window, see if any errors regarding OpenGL come up.

I opened the log window and

I opened the log window and found this inside:

WARNING: glibmm: file value_custom.cc: (Glib::custom_pointer_type_register): The type name `glibmm__CustomPointer_PN3k3d5inodeE' has been registered already.

and this

ERROR: discarding empty changeset [Replace]. Context: x:/k3d/k3dsdk/ngui/selection_input_model.cpp (150)

I don't know if these are useful but I figured I may as well post it here in case they are.

No, I don't think these are

No, I don't think these are related to the blank viewport. Does it print your OpenGL version anywhere?

Ok, then I don't know, Nvidia

Ok, then I don't know, Nvidia usually works best :(

Until I can get my hands on a Windows 8 machine, I won't be able to debug this further, unfortunately. The only suggestion I can make for now is to dual boot with Linux, but that's a bit of a hassle.
