Windows Weirdness?

Hi,
I just installed K-3D, but it is unreadable. I can see I have the same problem in this forum (topic:NOT READABLE) , but I just couldn’t find the solution.
Tshead wrote: ’Try setting the environment variable \"LANG\" to \"C\" ’. How to do this?
Thx,

Not trying to be deliberately vague, but the procedure varies from version to version of Windows.
Suggest you use the Windows Start Menu > Help, then search for \"environment variable\", and you should find a topic on how to set environment variables.
You might also try installing the GIMP drawing program, and see if you get the same results, since GIMP and K-3D use the same toolkit for the user interface.
Cheers,
Tim

Windows Weirdness?

I’m using Fedora Core 5 64-bit on a dual AMD Opteron machine, with an Nvidia 6600GT AGP graphics card.
When I run the configure script I get
checking for OpenGL... configure: error: OpenGL required but not found
I’m pretty sure I have the modules for the card installed correctly. I used the rpms ones from Livna. Anyway I ran the glxgears, and it works fine, along with the Open GL screensavers that are in xscreensaver. Is there a bug that I’m not seeing somewhere?
Thanks
Gary Myers

Gary:
The logic for detecting OpenGL is located in m4/k3d_check_opengl.m4, you will note that we check for the OpenGL libs/headers in several known locations, it looks as if yours are installed somewhere that we don’t check. Perhaps you could submit a patch?
You might also want to look at the recently released K-3D Fedora RPMS, see

Tim
