Python Help

Are there any references to the k3d python modules available? I dug around but found no reference for what functions
are exposed to python from k3d. I was considering writing a patch for render passes but if it can be done in python I
think that would maintain easier. I’m also thinking of implementing something like this:
http://stabacco.deathfall.com/hair_rendering.htm for hair in python.
Also as a side note I downloaded and tried the cvs version and noticed the option/attrib thing is still acting weird
(options as attribs and no attribs at all). For Pixie it will be neccessary to place both options and attributes in
either the frame block or the world block for photon mapping etc..
I also had some issues with the new painters acting a little strange and not being able to view
SDS in openGL, but I’m assuming its all still under developement. For now I’m just stick with 0.6.5.0
Thanks ;}

For Python documentation, see the share/scripts directory, plus:
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/Python
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/Python_Module
Also, follow the instructions at
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/CVS
to retrieve the *Stable* (0.6) tree. Changes made to the 0.6 tree aren’t merged into the development tree until after their release.
Cheers,
Tim

As followup, K-3D 0.6.6.0 (released today) fixes the bug with RenderMan options, and adds a new \"Hider\" property to the RenderManEngine plugin to allow your choice of hider when rendering (you still have to use separate options to configure the hider’s parameters).
Cheers,
Tim
