Missing PangoFont and segfalult

Hi everybody!
I have an Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy, and have installed a k3d from a main repository. But it crashes everytime I launch it, saying about missing PangoFont. I didn’t find any bugtracker here like launchpad, so may I give a generated crash file used in ubuntu, or you need some other information?

There isn’t any grouping mechanism at the moment, if you’re interested in coding you might take a look at our preliminary design document:

Although there is no grouping tools yet, you may also be interested in the Parent Tool
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/Parent_Tool
Or the merge mesh plugin (to unify your mesh)
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/MergeMesh
On the menu
Create->Mesh->MergeMesh

There is a bugtracker on the sourceforge page
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=11113&atid=111113
I think, your bug is also reported.
I suppose the PangoFont thing is just a warning.
I think the problem is with the library dependencies.
When I tried to compile K-3d on Ubuntu I had problems with some libraries. (for example if K-3d works anjuta doesn’t work)
Try to compile it. Maybe you can run it.

Cheers,
Joaquin.

Hi!
The pango font massage is not the problem generally. My k3d works fine with that message.
Could you tell us more details?
K3d version, the steps you made and the whole messages... anything that could help
This is not an uncommon problem. If you couldn’t find it on the bugtracker maybe is because you saw the open bugs.
Check if you have installed all the dependencies
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/External_Dependencies
You will receive more feedback if you mail the problem to the k3d-development mailing list.
https://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_name=k3d-development
Would you like to compile k3d?
For k3d 0.6
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/Generic_Build
For 0.7 (get from cvs)
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/CMake_Build
http://www.k-3d.org/wiki/CVS
I am looking forward for your answer
Cheers,
Joaquín

hi
I’m sorry... but I don’t have too much details... I’m new on linux... anyway when I try to start k-3d (both versions 0.6.7.0 and 0.6.6.0) appears the splash screen, it loads all the modules... after that it crashes... givin’ the messages \"pango font missing\" and \"segmentation fault\"... I’m now trying to build the version 0.7... obtained by cvs... but when I run \"make\" it gives me:
Linking CXX shared library ../lib/libk3dsdk.so
/usr/lib/gcc/i586-suse-linux/4.1.2/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lglib-2.0
and I don’t know what to do...
I’ve checked all dependencies... and I meet them all...
And I checked the closed bugtrackers...
I’m sorry, but I’m unable to give more details... =(
And I’m sorry for my english too... I’m Italian =)
thaks a lot
bye
