Unable to move newly created objects

When trying to move a newly created object - it doesn’t move at all. Launched it from a console and it gave an debug message -
\"ERROR tool.cpp line 92: assertion `Command.size()’ failed\"

Works fine for me, describe the actual steps you perform in detail, and we’ll see what’s wrong.

Tried building from the last development tarball today also, still the same.
1) Create a random object.
2) Select the \"Move\" tool.
3) Select the created object.
4) Neither clicking on an axis and moving the mouse around or dragging from the axis makes the object move position.
5) When launched from a terminal window, a line appears for every failed move attempt - \"ERROR tool.cpp line 92: assertion `Command.size()’ failed\"
The Polytorus and the Cone created by the \"Basic Selection\" tutorial (after creation and first move) are movable by me only by their Z axis, the PolySphere is not movable in any way.
