Undocking panels?

This message was originally posted by yaroukh on 04/20/2008 05:50:39
Hello
(I’ve just downloaded K-3D, I see it has a long way to go but I wish you guys keep going on with it as it looks like K-3D has pretty solid groundwork...)
Is it possible to undock a panel? I have two LCDs and I’d like to dedicate one exclusively to panels.
I think the GUI could be somehow \"more compressed\" (icons and buttons seem to be unnecesarilly big), but if I could move all the panels to the second screen it would be OK.
Best regards
Yaroukh

Hi Yaroukh,
Currently, it is not possible to undock panels. One workaround is to assign a hotkey to layout->maximise panel, using edit->assign hotkeys. That way you can quickly maximise / unmaximise the viewport.
I agree the UI is not as compact as it could be. We have been focusing on the underlying functionality, and the UI is lagging behind a little.
Regards,
Bart

Thanks for the reply.
OK, I can live with the view maximizing and/or hiding unpinned ones. :)
