K-3D create menu

Hi all,
Im new to using K-3D and pretty much 3D modeling in general. I was looking at a tutorial "Simple Face and Head 3D Modeling" and right off in the beginning they go to the create menu on the top, then go to what looks like development, and they have probably 15 different options under that...i only have 2 options. Any idea on why that is? im not sure what option they use under development because i cannot see it very clearly, something to do with Mesh i think. Is there something else i need to install to get all of these options?
Thanks much,
Sam

K-3D create menu

ok so i found out that they are doing a symmetry thing with it, they make a sphere, delete half of it, then use symmetry to copy the half and rotate to the flip side and all that. The issue im finding is when i do a mesh instance, i dont have an option to connect the mesh input to anything. When i click the input mesh button it gives me options to save mesh. Anyone know why this is? I'd like to get to learn more into this stuff so thanks for the help.

K-3D create menu

I think that the tutorial you're looking-at is pretty dated - there was a significant reorganization of the menus for K-3D 0.8.
To make a connection to your input mesh property (or any other property), you can click anywhere on the property label, or the "plug" icon to the left of the label - this provides a menu of property-connection functions that are available for any property. From your description, you're clicking the "Mesh Options" button, which provides functionality that is specific to mesh properties.
Cheers,
Tim
