Hello guys!
I am doing a paper for university about K-3D.
I need you help asap please.
How can I make "union", "difference" and "intersection" with K-3D?
I need to show that.
For example, placing a cylinder and a sphere inside... And make it so just the part that both solids have to show (intersection). http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/45/Set_intersectio...
And difference: http://www.povray.org/documentation/images/reference/diffobj.png

Hello,
You can do booleans like this on polyhedra using either the CARVEBoolean or CGALBoolean mesh modifiers. Just select multiple polyhedra (i.e. a PolySphere and PolyCube) and then apply the modifier from the righ-click menu. CARVE is fast, CGAL is robust and handles special cases such as coplanar faces.
As an alternative, there are also the RenderMan CSG operations, which only work on exact surfaces such as the CSG Sphere and torus.
Regards,
Bart
