Rendering

I have just installed k-3d (0.8.0.2), and so far I am impressed, but how do you render? I keep getting a message about choosing a render engine, or something like that, but no information appears to exist about how to do that.
I'm using the program in ubuntu 12.04
Also, while I'm at it... I have changed my view to a 2D side view...how do I go back to the north east corner view that it starts with?

Rendering

Hi,
For rendering, the "default" (i.e. most tested) render engine is aqsis. If you install the aqsis package from Ubuntu and restart K-3D, the rendering should work out of the box. Other supported renderers are pixie and yafray, and also any Renderman compliant engine (of which aqsis is an example) should work.
As for going back to the default view, it seems that option is missing, so as a workaround you can navigate using the right mouse button and maybe do a "frame selection" to make everything fit the screen. I've added an issue for this on github:
https://github.com/K-3D/k3d/issues/6
Note that we are currently very short on manpower for this project, so I have no idea when any of the issues will be resolved.
