Move mode doesn't show new coordinates.

I don't see any obvious place where the coordinates are reported for an object during and after a move (or even before for that matter). Many 3D programs provide three data entry boxes in the frame of the viewport for the X Y and Z coordinates of the currently selected object frame of reference origin. It would also be adequate if they were provided as properties in the Node Properties window.

This can be done using the TranslatePoints mesh modifier, where you can enter a translation vector numerically. ScalePoints and RotatePoints do the same for scaling and rotation.
In addition, if you can compile the latest git revision from https://github.com/K-3D/k3d, there is a SetPosition plugin to set one or more components of absolute point coordinates directly, and a PointsCentroid plugin that displays the position of the centroid of the currently selected group of points.
